January and February mark the start of what would be our usual recruitment drive to increase our numbers of team members for the holiday season ahead.
The season usually starts at February half term until November but unlike other holiday parks we have certain areas that open all year such as our Brean Splash waterpark, Brean Play, and Brean Country Club so for some posts, we offer all year round employment perfect for a wide range of people for students looking for weekend holiday work. Graduates looking to start a career plus those looking for a change in role, or part-time work. Other teams that also work all year include our maintenance, accounts, and security team.
There are so many career stories and marriages to tell! and some employees with over 25 years length of service. We are the Team Brean family and love to see our team members grow in confidence and develop during their time with us.
Our family-run business has been trading for over 70 years and many family members play a key part in the day to day operation of our 200-acre Resort. We have received many awards in recent years and we continue to reinvest back into the business and our team members.
We have a permanent team of around 130 local team members during the Winter. This rises to 250 during our peak Summer period.

Management positions
It will soon be a year when he heard of the word furlough. We took advantage of the scheme to help protect as many jobs as possible and who’d a thought we would be delaying the start of our 2021 season with lockdown 3.
When we open we will need to increase our team member numbers to be able to open and welcome guests back.
This year is different. Last year we opened, recruited then closed but we had got open so it was easier to be ready. We also usually employ several Spanish students that we will miss this year due to Brexit.
In anticipation of re-opening sometime in the Spring, we have created a ‘Register your interest’ form for seasonal positions on our website where you can sign up for any position you are interested in and we will be in touch as soon as we can start recruiting. It can be accessed here https://www.breanjobs.com/join-the-team
Full training is provided for all roles, a uniform, free car parking, free-swimming pass, access to a 24hr employee well-being and assistance program, and our annual Team Brean awards are just a few of the benefits we offer. There are also opportunities for formal training, apprenticeships, and work placements.
We will also be running a free lifeguard course which provides a Nationally recognised qualification and is a gear start to a career in leisure.
All roles have been adapted for COVID safety with a risk assessment in place. We are constantly reviewing assessments and any changing guidance for updates to ensure team members and guest safety. We have sanitiser points, protection screens and personal protective equipment such as face coverings are provided. Our service has been adapted to incorporate social distancing. In public areas, we have one way systems and signage in place and enforce the requirement for face coverings to be worn. All new starters will be provided with individual COVID guidance relevant to their role.
Our business is registered to the Visit England Good to Go scheme which verifies our systems and procedures in place.
If you have lost your job due to COVID and are not sure if you have transferable skills we encourage you to consider Team Brean as an option for your short or long-term plans. There is no such word as being overqualified. We guarantee that you will meet new people, develop skills, and most importantly ensure our guests have a great visit.
