It's great to be back welcoming guests and team members to our Resort over the last 4 weeks.
The vibe had been very positive and all precautions are in place for a covid secure return.
Bookings for holidays are looking promising as people choose to holiday in the UK which is great news for the hospitality sector.
As 17 May approaches we are looking forward to getting more areas of the business open such as our award winning soft play, Brean Play, our restaurant and facilities at Brean Country Club including the return of socially distanced weddings plus indoor dining in of our many venues.
The majority of are team are returning to work from furlough and we have also welcomed so far 35 new team members with another 50 posts available in a range of business areas. Some of these posts are permanent with options for career development and further training.

New on the horizon is the installation of three netball and tennis courts to host a netball tournament with accommodation on the Summer.
This year our focus is putting sustainability at the heart of what we do. Over the last two weeks in April, we recycled 4.2 tonnes of dried mixed recycling, that is the same weight as a hippo! The great news is that we have also had very little contamination reported, this reflects the great efforts our teams and guests have all been putting into this. Now we are going to start concentrating on energy use in all departments by adding sensors to circuits that we want to monitor as well as talking about how we can reduce our energy within our teams.
